Humorist Tim Sample at Opera House

BOOTHBAY HARBOR — Tim Sample, widely acknowledged as New England’s premier native humorist, will perform at the Opera House at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27.

Sample was born and raised in Maine and says that he “has never lived — or for that matter, wanted to live — anywhere other than the Pine Tree State.”

His first album of Downeast humor was recorded in 1979. He also has written or illustrated more than a dozen books, including regional bestsellers “Saturday Night at Moody’s Diner” and his most recent, “Maine Curiosities.”

Doors open for seating opening at 7 p.m. Advance tickets are $18 and day of show purchases are $23.
